Zumbani or Fever Tree (Scientific Name: Lippia Javanica)

Indigenous to Africa, this very important botanical has for centuries been used to make a tonic tea.  It was used to control asthma as well as to decongest.  Its essential oil which we have captured is loaded with complex aromas as well as the healing properties.  It is also great for calming down and has great benefits when used in massage oils.

Wild Basil or Clove Basil (Scientific Name: Ocimum gratissimum)

anti-inflammatory and antioxidant antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti- inflammatory, analgesic (a painkiller).

Widespread in tropical Africa and Limpopo, North-West, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Also into Asia as far as India; naturalized in Brasil. Edible flower and leaves.  Used to make tea and to flavour food in West Africa. The essential oil can be used as a food preservative and when blended with other oils is very useful as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic as well as antibacterial and anti-fungal. It is also useful as an insect repellent against thripps.
